へヴィ・メタル界に25年以上君臨する英国の良心、アイアン・メイデン。

ベーシストでバンドの頭脳であるスティーヴ・ハリス(b)を中心に、N.WO.B.H.M.（ニュー・ウェイヴ・オブ・ブリティッシュ・へヴィ・メタル）勃興期から幾多のメンバー・チェンジを経て、今尚最強の布陣で活動中。

1982年の3rd『ザ・ナンバー・オブ・ザ・ビースト』でブルース・ディッキンソン(vo)を迎えパワーアップ。

95年の10th『ジ・エックス・ファクター』でブレイズ・ベイリー(vo)に交代するも、00年の12th『ブレイヴ・ニュー・ワールド』でブルース復帰、エイドリアン・スミス(g)、デイヴ・マーレイ(g)、ヤニック・ガース(g)、ニコ・マクブレイン(ds)の6人編成で活動中。
